Evita Griskenas, born on December 3, 2000, in Chicago, Illinois, is a rising star in the world of rhythmic gymnastics. With her exceptional talent and dedication, she has made significant strides in her career and is now representing the United States in the Paris Olympics.





Early Life and Introduction to Rhythmic Gymnastics


Evita was introduced to the world of rhythmic gymnastics at a very young age. Her mother, Nataliya, a former professional rhythmic gymnast from Russia, recognized her daughter's potential and enrolled her in the North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center in Illinois. Under the guidance of her mother and coaches, Evita quickly displayed a natural aptitude for the sport.


Rapid Rise in the World of Rhythmic Gymnastics


In 2014, Evita was named to the U.S. Junior National Team. Over the years, she has participated in multiple national and international competitions, consistently showcasing her exceptional skills and determination. In 2015, she won the gold medal in the clubs event at the 2015 Pacific Rim Championships.

Her breakthrough moment came in 2018 when she was named to the U.S. Senior National Team. Evita continued to excel in her performances, clinching the U.S. National All-Around title in 2019 and 2021. She also represented the United States at the 2019 World Championships, where she placed 22nd in the all-around event.

In 2021, Evita Griskenas secured her spot to represent the United States at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She was joined by fellow rhythmic gymnast Camilla Feeley and the U.S. Rhythmic Group. The qualification was a significant milestone in her career and a testament to her unwavering dedication to the sport.


At the Olympics, Evita competed fiercely and showcased her remarkable skills in the individual all-around event. Although she did not win a medal, her performance was a proud moment for her and the entire U.S. rhythmic gymnastics community.
